Welcome to Coln Cinema!
We're glad you've found us!
Coln Cinema has been running for many years in the village of Coln St Aldwyns. During autumn, winter and early spring a contemporary film is shown each month, giving local residents the opportunity to see quality productions without having to travel to a larger town or city.
We are fortunate that two members of our community allow us to use their large cinema room to project the films. With top-quality projection and sound equipment in an acoustically-treated space, you can be sure that you'll see and hear the film at its very best. And in addition to that, you can enjoy a glass of wine or soft drink before you watch the film!
Coln Cinema is not a commercial enterprise. It's run by local volunteers and does not seek to make a profit. A small charge is payable at the door, and naturally, drinks are extra. All profits made are donated to the local church.

Another one that’s currently on release and tipped for awards. The true story of the remarkable Sir Nicholas Winton who rescued hundreds of Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Europe. Stars Anthony Hopkins, Helena Bonham Carter, and Johnny Flynn. Bring a hankie.
Thanks as always to Angie Bray and Nigel Hugh-Smith for the use of their home cinema in Vicarage Cottage Barn. Entry is via St John the Baptist churchyard, Coln St Aldwyns, but please make sure you bring a torch. There are a few disabled parking spaces, so if you need one then please email Nick Brett at [email protected] and he'll try to arrange it.
Why not have a drink beforehand? The cash bar is open from 7pm.
A £5 donation per person on the door is requested – there is no booking tickets in advance – and all proceeds go to the Coln village church.
