We're glad you've found us!
Coln Film Club has been running for many years in the village of Coln St Aldwyns. During autumn, winter and early spring a contemporary film is shown each month, giving local residents the opportunity to see quality productions without having to travel to a larger town or city.
We are fortunate that two members of our community allow us to use their large cinema room to project the films. With top-quality projection and sound equipment in an acoustically-treated space, you can be sure that you'll see and hear the film at its very best. And in addition to that, you can enjoy a glass of wine or soft drink before you watch the film!
Coln Film Club is not a commercial enterprise. It's run by local volunteers and does not seek to make a profit. We request that you make a small donation of £6 or more at the door - cash or card - and naturally, drinks are extra. All profits made are donated to the local church.

Our 25th season’s opener is the hilarious The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026, Certificate 12, 1h 59m). Meryl Streep reprises her role as the ghastly Miranda Priestly, editor of the American glossy fashion magazine Runway.
This time she’s pitted against Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former assistant, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst a declining print market.

Our choice for Friday 30 October is another (dark) comedy The Christophers (2025, Certificate 15, 1h 40m), a British gem rated 95% by the film website Rotten Tomatoes.

Chariots of Fire
For a fourth year, we’ll be showing a film over the Christmas holidays, this time on Wednesday 30 December.
Our choice is one of the greatest British films ever, the 1981 classic Chariots of Fire (Certificate PG, 2h 3m), written by Colin Welland and produced by David Putnam, and with a star cast including Ben Cross, Ian Charleson, Ian Holm, and Nigel Havers.
It was nominated for seven Oscars and won four, including best picture, best original screenplay, and best original score for Vangelis's electronic theme tune.
